Elegance, color and good humor since 1993

Because bringing new perspectives to the table is our obsession
for 30 years. Because we like to heckle her with crazy cutlery. Because we
like to shrink your pupils with bright colors. Because for us, beauty is not an option. Because passing trends are not our business.
Because putting you in a good mood is the best reward. br/>
For all these reasons, and more, the Sabre Paris adventure is just beginning. br/>Live our first 30 years!

Pascale and Francis Gelb, founders of Sabre Paris

The beginning of Sabre

In 1993, Francis Gelb was asked to design a knife. The young designer took up the challenge of producing a model with a square ferrule, and a complex design.
The “Sabre” collection - which would later give its name to the Maison - marked the beginning of a fruitful collaboration.

A love story

1992: one man, one woman, love at first sight.

We could tell you the story of yet another beautiful encounter. But that of Francis and Pascale Gelb has a special flavor. That of the table, precisely.
When these two epicureans crossed paths, an idea was born. It took the form of a twenty-centimeter accessory that the young couple set about reinventing:
the cutlery.

A discreet object whose contours Francis knows perfectly well.
Son of a line of goldsmiths, and trained by his own family, he wants to give it back all its sharpness.
In their Parisian apartment, the duo imagine the first creations of a brand they want to be mischievous and offbeat
Between two bursts of laughter, Sabre Paris was born.

A bold brand

“Less convention, more freedom”.

This boisterous spirit is that of the founders of Sabre Paris. From the outset, the brand has been shaking up the world of tableware, creating impertinent collections with an air of manifesto. No to pompous luxury and stuffy classics!
Yes to joyful, simple and elegant products. It's an original vision that the House invented and that it is still alone in today.

With the flick of a knife, Sabre Paris modernizes tableware for special occasions. No more ceremony.
With its cutlery, the show is on the table every day.
We grab them every day, from breakfast to dinner, to marry the useful with the pleasant and share convivial moments with loved ones.

Around the plates, not one, but several styles of knives, forks and spoons!
A pioneer of mix & match, Sabre Paris has fun mixing genres.
Vibrant colors, mismatched patterns: the Maison brings worlds together.
Assembling elements that are a priori poles apart, she creates strong contrasts that magnetize the eye. A mischievous way of turning the tables and redefining “the beautiful” with her own language.

The Sabre table

No tablecloths. No white plates. And often... no table!
Sabre Paris tells humorous, surrealistic stories in pictures.
We come across strangely shaped vegetables, shells that have escaped from the sea
or levitating harnesses, on which cutlery is arranged.
Mystery and fantasy for some amusingly inventive photos.

Getting together, sharing, moments dear to Sabre

How do you electrify a table?
For Sabre Paris, the answer is color.

For 30 years, the brand has deployed an energetic palette on its creations. Invigorating vibrations shake the cutlery handles with crushed raspberry, vermilion red and blood orange.
As a counterpoint to its assumed exuberance, it also sometimes plays the soft card, with milky tones.
Adventurous, the house explores a second field of expression: that of patterns.
Gingham, Toile, White stripe, Theirs and polka dots are printed on the nylon sleeves using an exclusive technique.
These original models are softened by sober, functional lines, designed to melt in the hand.
“More than just utensils, Sabre Paris cutlery is approached as a true decorative object.”

“Working with color is fascinating: certain tonal associations reflect a personality or a state of mind, such as joy, reflection, balance, confidence... The essential thing is to create an atmosphere, to give meaning.”

Working with colors, patterns and materials is a passion at Sabre Paris.
United or printed, our elegantly finished models are designed in a multitude of variations to shine alone or create your own style by combining genres.
